كشف الأمير نايف بن ممدوح بن عبدالعزيز عن تلقيه تهديد بالقتل بعدما دعا زعيم تنظيم داعش أبوبكر البغدادي إلى المناظرة العلنية في أي مكان شاء أو عبر تويتر ، وكذلك أيمن الظواهري زعيم تنظيم القاعدة.
وقال الأمير نايف ، فى تغريدات عبر حسابه بموقع التواصل الاجتماعي تويتر اليوم الأحد : أطالب البغدادي والظواهري بمناظرة ومباهلة علنية : أينا على السنة وبالأدلة ثم نبتهل فنجعل لعنة الله على الكاذبين ، مؤكدا أنه لا يقبل الإنابة في المناظرة والمباهلة وأنه يريدها من الرأس للرأس ومن الوجه للوجه والحجة بالحجة، وأما غير ذلك فلا .
وتساءل :لماذا يتخفي البغدادي والظواهري في كهف أو مزرعة؟! هل هو الخوف أم قيادة المعركة؟! فإن كان جهادًا حقًا فلم يكن رسول الله إلا في المقدمة. وأضاف:بعضهم يتهمنا بالجبناء وتجده ملثما ويضع اسمًا مستعارًا ويدّعي الجهاد!! الجهاد يحتاج رجالًا تواجه وجهًا لوجه والحجة بالحجة.
وردا على تهديده بالقتل من قبل مغردين قال الأمير نايف : الموت في سبيل الله ودفاعا عن السنة أشرف أمانينا فيا مرحبا بكم في الموت ، مضيفا : غالبا من يهدد بالموت جبان يخاف الموت فيعتبره شيئ مخيفا المخيف أن تموت وأنت على غير هدي محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم.
كما رد على الشتائم التي تلقاها قائلا: أعتذر عن الرد على الأخوة الذين يتكلمون في شخصي فقد تعودت بفضل الله أن لا أجيب السوء بالسوء ولكني أرجو الله لي ولهم الهداية والصلاح.
