أقام الزميل/ سعد بن عادي الحمد مدير التحرير بصحيفة أضواء الوطن بالمنطقة الشرقية ، حفل تكريمي لـ سعادة العميد سالم بن سعد الرشيدي ، بمناسبة ترقيته إلى رتبة عميد، وذلك يوم الجمعة الموافق 7/02/2014 في منزله بمدينة الجبيل الصناعية ، حيث شرف الحفل العميد بركات بن هادي ، والعقيد فرحان بن غنيم ، والدكتور عبد الوهاب شباب الشميلان أستاذ قسم التسويق بكلية الجبيل الصناعية ، والدكتور خلف حمد مدير إدارة الأمن الصناعي بالهيئة الملكية ، والاستاذ/ عيد فلاح مدير تقنية المعلومات بقطاع الكليات والمعاهد بالجبيل الصناعية ،والمهندس منصور ناصر مهندس بسابك ، وعدد من الأقارب والأصدقاء وقدم لـ العميد سالم هدية تذكارية درعا من صحيفة أضواء الوطن ، له بهذه المناسبة .
وبدوره ثمن العميد سالم، كرم الضيافة وحفل التكريم، وشكره لـ القيادة على هذه الثقة الكريمة، ووعد ببذل مزيدا من الجهد لخدمة الدين ثم المليك والوطن.
