فاضت قريحة الشاعر عطالله بن محمد العضيّاني العتيبي, رثاءً في فقيدهم الغالي رجل الأعمال المعروف الشيخ سلطان بن متعب العضيّاني العتيبي الذي وافاه الأجل المحتوم يوم الخميس الماضي, وجاءت قريحة الشاعر عطالله العضيّاني بهذه الأبيات المعبّرة عن المصاب الجلل.

دقّ الجهاز وقمت أنا آطيح وأقوم = وقالوا توفى واغتشى الكون ضيقه
وقمت أتركّز بين سنفان وحزوم = ودموع عيني فــ المحاجر غريقه
وعيني عقب سلطان ما تقبل النوم = والصد كن أيشب وسطه حريقه
مرحوم يا شيخ المواجيب .. مرحوم = مرحوم يا راع الفعول العريقه
مرحوم ياللي فالمواقيف زيزوم = والعبد مهما عاش هذا طريقه
كسبت قولة نعم بفعول واسلوم = يا عزّ لا بار الرفيق برفيقه
يوم إن بعض الناس معطى ومحروم = مدات كفك بالمكارم طليقه
أبو فهد فيه الكرم طبع وعزوم = جزل العطاء غيث الكبود الشفيقه
والله لو آجالنا تقبل السوم = لنبيعها دونك وهذي حقيقه
ووالله ما ننساك يومٍ بعد يوم = نصبر لو إن الصبر ما حدٍ يطيقه
دنيا العناء هذي بهاذيل وهموم = ولا احدٍ سلم منها ولا بل ريقه
وعسى السحاب اللي معه برق وغيوم = يمطر على قبره ويصبح حديقه
وما مات من خلّف حراراً لهم حوم = أهل الوفاء وأهل الوجيه الطليقه
اعياله الوافين شجعان وقروم = رسم لهم درب الوفاء في طريقه
وصلاة ربي عد ما بانت نجوم = وعداد ما ينتب غصونٍ رقيقه
على النبي اللي من الذنب معصوم = محمد الهادي رسول الخليقه [/poem]
